What is ear wax?
Ear wax is a sticky substance produced naturally to help clean, lubricate and protect your ears. Ear wax will normally work its way out of the ear and eventually new fresh ear wax will take its place. Ear wax removal is required when our natural self cleaning mechanism does not work efficiently.
In some cases the ear wax can build up in the ear canal bringing on the following symptoms :-
- Hearing loss
- A feeling of fullness
- Ringing in the ears
- Hearing aids become blocked or start to whistle
A build up of ear wax can be extremely frustrating and upsetting. For safe and immediate relief from ear wax you can take advantage of our expertise and visit us at The Hearing Clinic Milton Keynes.
Ear wax removal treatments are available in all of our clinics Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and Northampton.
The price for ear wax removal is £65 for one or both ears

Ear wax removal – Micro-suction
Micro-suction has become a preferred method of ear wax removal amongst medical professionals and patients alike. Micro-suction involves a fine suction tube gently inserted into the ear canal whilst being viewed closely through magnification. Micro-suction does not require pre-treatment with olive oil but if you can use a few drops the night before your treatment it will help make the removal process alot easier.
